Permission Granted
We are now in the final preparations for departure to the Malvinas (Falkland Islands). As everyone knows, these islands have long been the source of a dispute between Argentina and Great Britain. As usual, peaceful Swedes do not take sides in such disputes, but we still need permission from the Argentinian authorities to visit the…

Nexus becomes Garmin, still provides good service.
My favorite instrumentation supplier Nexus has been purchased by Garmin, and I am hoping it means good things for the products. So far I have only good things to report. I needed to replace my log transducer, and Garmin provided one very quickly for a friend who was traveling down to Uruguay to join the…

Washing up day
The cushions now have two years of intensive use on them, and even the heavy duty hospital-spec cloth needs some washing. Today we have wind and sun so it’s a good day for that.

Back in the wet stuff
After 4 days of typical South-American “mañana”, the marina finally got us back in the water. I’m pretty satisfied with the new waterline, looks even better than the old I think.
