A yacht designed for uncomfort in rough conditions…?

Well, there are rough conditions and there are rough conditions. And a Journeyman ride over the English Channel after 3 days of 30 knot winds was clearly worse than my definition of comfort would allow. So I consider myself beaten. We actually went down to three reefs even though we only had 24 knots wind maximum. Otherwise the ride would have been even faster and more jumpy and jerky. 2 meter waves with a random wavelength from maybe 6 to 20 meter. Clearly not comfortable.

The good news is that the boat stayed in one piece. Nothing broke (Well at least nothing structural).

And I am sure Björn Larsson would approve of the settings for reading “Long John Silver“:

But then, finally, we got to see with our own eyes that the Isle of Wight is really misspelled, because it is… White!
