So today we are in the Netherlands. We went into Lauwersoog, after some bounces off unexpected sand reefs off the coast. Fortunately I had foreseen this and positioned the keel about 25 cm down, so when we buried the bulb in the sand we could lift it up a bit and back off to safer waters.
Lauwersoog has a yacht harbour, but as you can see it is not very busy. But the fishing harbour is. The moorings are typical Dutch style pillars, way too small for Journeyman, so we had to go in sideways, which was a bit tricky.
Plus they had some old lines floating around between the pillars and one of them wanted to stick itself into our bow thruster. Good thing the weather is sunny and the water nice and warm!
