Journeyman 60 for Expeditions
Sailing yachts are usually better suited for expeditions than motor yachts due to the more stable travel and lower price. Speed is an issue of course, but the Journeyman 60′s high performance (250 Nm/day in reasonable conditions) makes it less so.
The yacht has been prepared for expedition charters. Scientific expeditions, film teams and adventure projects usually come with large equipment that ordinary yachts are not prepared for. The Journeyman 60 is a bit more suitable for these tasks.
- There are 2 large storage compartments, with larger hatches and doors than most common yachts of comparable size.
- The deck is prepared for securing equipment that doesn’t need to go indoors.
- 3kW/240V AC power is available.
- A permanent underwater camera is already mounted.
Environmentally conscious projects will also benefit from the overall green profile of the yacht.
