The parts of the decks that have already been done are now forming a nice sandy beach!! Talk about foredeck sunbathing :-)

I really like the surface the sand creates. It’s very smooth, completely matte and yet shiny somehow…

    Are you bringing a portable compressor so you can do some surface trimming if you get scratches? I guess you will have plenty of sand in some of the places you will visit!

  2. Actually one of the advantages of a sandblasted surface is that smaller scratches and damages do not show very much! As the metal oxidizes the surface grows darker and more matte. Takes a year in the Baltic, quicker in real seas…
